TPC直线定位单元是由侧装硬质圆柱钢滑轨的方形铝材结构组成的，滑块通过滑轮与滑轨耦合；同步齿型带推动滑块实现直线运动。同步齿型带的张力可以通过滑块上简单的螺丝调整装置方便的实现，这个装置同时也可用于调整两个或多个定位单元的平行度。
